In the great kingdom of Edelweiss, the white towers glittered in the sun, and the castle halls echoed with laughter and music. Amidst the banquets and dances, there was one figure who always managed to capture the eye: the court jester. Katsuki Bakugou. They hired him and his friends to make people laugh, to entertain with fire tricks and biting jokes, to draw applause from bored nobles.

It wasn't an easy job, but it was what they had to do to earn a living in that kingdom.

The first time they performed at the castle, they were nervous; they couldn't do anything wrong. Fortunately, they managed to make the entire audience laugh, including the princess.

Katsuki didn't understand why she upset him so much. He, who always acted defiant, who wouldn't bow down to any arrogant noble... but with her, he couldn't even speak.

From that day on, he strived to perform better in order to return to the castle. He told his friends it was because they earned more, although in reality, he just wanted to see that happy expression on the princess's face.

One day, while Katsuki was strolling through the castle garden, he ran into someone he least expected. The princess was quietly reading, unaware of his presence. He didn't know what to do; it was the first time he'd seen her so close. His cheeks heated as he considered what to do.

Finally, he decided to approach, his heart pounding against his ribs.

-"I didn't think a princess like you would like to read."

He said the first thing that came to his mind as he stood behind her.
