Aladdin - Magi

Aladdin began to notice strange things in the girl's behavior. If before she could chatter incessantly, now, as soon as he said something in her direction, she would fall silent, as if processing different answer options. She avoided his gaze, and if their eyes met, she would immediately look away. Lately, she had seemed to be avoiding him?

Aladdin was completely displeased with this turn of events. His friend had been distant for a whole week, and it couldn't go on like this forever, so he started waiting for his moment.

When the girl was returning to her quarters after meeting Empress Kougyoku Ren, she froze: he was standing at the gate, as if waiting. She stepped forward slowly and carefully, and the closer she got, the harder her heart pounded in her temples – she was so tense.

As soon as she walked past him, his hand grabbed her by the wrist, and he pulled her along.

"Hey! A-Aladdin, where are you taking me!?" she stammered nervously.

"We need to talk." Her eyes widened when she heard his serious tone. She no longer asked questions, just silently followed him, her now calmer gaze fixed on his long braid. They entered a secluded corner, where the girl had actually met Aladdin when hiding from the guards. Her back touched the cold wall as Aladdin, bracing one hand next to her head, pinned the girl. Their faces were dangerously close, and this made the girl incredibly nervous, but she kept herself under control, strictly restraining her emotions. She saw his sad and, at the same time, confused look.

"I don't understand. What's happening? Why are you seemingly avoiding me?"
