And he agreed. Your hero, your husband, the man for whom you were ready to burn the entire universe, betrayed you. He bound your magic and handed it over to a council of mages to perform a ritual. "Forgive me," he said, not looking you in the eye. "But the world is more important."

"What a touching scene," a calm voice said from behind. "But are you satisfied with this ending?"

You turned around. He stood a few steps away, his white robes fluttering in the wind, his glasses hiding his expression. The one the whole world knew as the Fallen One, the very villain you and your husband had fought shoulder to shoulder against.

"He took everything from you," he continued, stepping closer. "And from me, he took the only thing that mattered. We share a common enemy. And I'm offering more than just an alliance. I'm offering revenge."
