DigiDestined

Tai has tan skin and chocolate brown eyes. He has spiked brown hair that sticks out wildly in three distinct triangles. He usually wears light grey goggles with a black strap. As an adult, Tai's hair is neater and more well-kept. Izzy is a small boy with light skin, short, spiky red hair, thick eyebrows and dark eyes.

Tai is energetic and adventurous. He also acts impulsively and rushes without thinking the consequences, especially when his friends are in danger but is quick to realize and admit he has been wrong, and does whatever it takes to fix his mistakes. Despite his flaws, Tai is very caring and considerate of others, even if his actions may cause some people to think otherwise. It takes time for him to learn how to be a leader, but eventually he grows into the unifying force that leads all the other DigiDestined and keeps them together. As a teenager, Tai acts like the mellow and experienced mentor to the new Digidestined. He is less brash but still easygoing. He usually smirks.

Matt is fair skinned with blond hair. He has sharp blue eyes with longer eyelashes than the other boys on his team. His French ancestry gives him somewhat foreign features. He is noted to be handsome, especially by his fans when he forms his music band as a teenager. Matt is a teenager, has grown taller and grown out his hair. He usually wears the Odaiba Middle School uniform; a white buttoned dress shirt with long sleeves under a closed green blazer jacket with three buttons, gray pants, white socks, and brown shoes.

Matt starts as a secretive loner with a cool demeanor. He is mature, occasionally grumpy, thoughtful and level-headed, and more likely to think things through than charge head-on. He is a deeply caring person who will do anything for a friend and is very protective of his loved ones. He is prone to second-guessing and self-deprecation when he cannot protect others—his self-worth hinges on his ability to be a good friend. Unlike Tai, who is more willing to look at the "big picture", sometimes to the detriment of his friends, Matt always tries to focus on the good of his small circle of friends. As a teenager, he is more laid-back and easygoing and is more willing to support his friends risking themselves against enemy Digimon. However, he still reacts strongly when his friends are under pressure, such as when the news depicted the team's Digimon as monsters, and Tai became reluctant to defend their reputation due to fears about possible casualties. He is also a good singer.

Izzy is a computer expert and spends a large fraction of his time trying to figure stuff out on his "PiBook" laptop. He is very intelligent and knowledgeable, and often gets lost in thought while trying to figure out something new. He is extremely curious about the nature of the Digital World, and works ceaselessly to learn whatever there is to know about it. He is resourceful and dutiful, and quick to help his friends. He is somewhat socially awkward, even as a teenager when he is more confident in his ability. In the Japanese version, he is extremely polite.

Izzy is a small boy with light skin, short, spiky red hair, thick eyebrows and dark eyes. Izzy wears a dark blue shirt under an open orange button-up shirt, light brown shorts, blue socks, and dark blue shoes.

Joe has short blue hair and black eyes. He stands out from the other Digidestined with large glasses and tall height. His hair was initially spiky with his bangs swept to the right but is chin-length and parts in the middle as a 15 year old. In tri. and as an adult, Joe's hair is back to being short. Joe wears a white button-up shirt with long sleeves under a cream vest with red trimmings in addition to grey pants and brown shoes. He wears a blue jacket underneath his shirt and vest.

At a glance, Joe appears to be a flighty, ditzy boy and a nervous wreck, panicking over little things (in the dub, he has a tendency to feel "allergic" to everything around him). This stems from Joe's strong sense of responsibility, in addition to being the oldest of the group. He acts as the voice of reason and tries, often without success, to steer the other DigiDestined away from danger and tries to find a safer way. His "safety first" attitude is often the source of teasing from others specially Gomamon, who teases him the most but all the DigiDestined respect and trust Joe for being reliable. His reliability is shown whenever Joe will not hesitate to put his life over the others (for example, he saves T.K. from drowning). Teasing aside, the DigiDestined respect and trust Joe because they know he can be relied on to be selfless and brave when problems arise. During the time the Infected Digimon start showing up, Joe is struggling in school, leading him to focus on studying more than on assisting the team. This anxiety builds until Joe is confronted by Gomamon, who, feeling unable to help, leaves Joe, who reevaluates his priorities and make up with Gomamon.

Being raised in a sheltered life, Mimi comes off as prissy, childish, spoiled and selfish. Underneath it all, she is actually a very sweet, purehearted and caring person, who is sensitive to the feelings of others and dislikes fighting. Mimi is also honest, though sometimes brutally honest to the point where she unintentionally hurts others. She is very ditzy, like Joe, and has a rather wild imagination. Through her adventures in the Digital World, she learns that sometimes fighting is necessary to protect the ones she loves, and becomes more confident and resilient. As a teenager, Mimi has shed most of her spoiled mannerisms, and is very confident and upbeat.

Mimi has long, wavy light brown hair and eyes. During the events of 02, she would dye her hair in many different colors such as pink and strawberry blonde. As of tri., her hair is back in its natural color. In the epilogue, Mimi's hair is now short and her ears are pierced. She wears a pink midriff-baring tank top with yellow lining, light yellow shorts held up by a brown belt with a silver buckle, white socks and pink shoes. Due the climate of Hawaii, her skin is tanned.

Sora is kind, responsible, caring and protective with her first instinct being to try and help others in any way she can, much like a mother. Sora will not turn someone down when they need help, even at the cost of her own well-being. As a preteen, she is a bit boyish, from the way she dresses to her hobbies. She starts out low self esteem, believing herself to be unloved and criticizing herself for not being able to help her friends. Throughout her adventures in the Digital World, Sora realizes that she is loved and realizes how appreciated she is thanks to her friends. She eventually embraces her femininity, and is much more confident and laid-back as a teenager.

Sora is a lightly tanned skinned girl with orange hair and maroon eyes. Her hair was initially chin-length, but eventually reached to her shoulders, resembling a bob. Sora usually wears the Odaiba Middle School uniform; a green and white sailor fuku with a blue neckerchief, white stockings, and dull blue shoes with white soles. When playing tennis, she wears a white T-shirt with blue vertical lines on the front, back and the border of the collar and a yellow triangle on the left side of the chest, light gray wristbands on her hands, a short white skirt, white socks and sneakers with light blue and light pink lines on them.

T.K. is a very young boy with light skin, short blond hair with a longer tuft on the front, and blue eyes. T.K. wears an oversized cream turtleneck sweater, light khaki shorts, and a cream bucket hat.

T.K. is a very cheerful and amiable person. He doesn't like when others are fighting or sad, and will do anything in his power to make others happy. He is very protective of his loved ones, especially after Patamon's sacrifice, and takes his duty as a protector of the Digital World very seriously. He is rather optimistic, and always tries to keep a smile on his face.

Much like T.K., Kari is the sweet, innocent and cheerful younger sibling of a Digidestined. She always looks for the best side of people without resorting to violence, but can be serious in drastic situations. Kari is also selfless, as she will always put the safety of others before her own and never wants to trouble others. Her relationship with Yolei allows Kari to be more expressive, true to her heart, and overcomes the power of darkness as her friends are always there for her. As a young child, she is prone to illness, but grows out of it. As a teenager, Kari is whimsical, but is still a down-to-earth person.

Kari has short brown hair and eyes. It was initially chin-length, but later becomes a bob. As she gets older, Kari starts wearing a hairclip that pulls left side of her hair. In the epilogue, she wears two hairclips that pulls both sides of her hair and has yellow studded earrings. Her hair has also grown longer. She also wears a silver whistle with a pink cord that she eventually gave to Gatomon. she wears a pink dress with long sleeves and a white collar with red borders and ribbon attached to it, cream colored stockings, and brown shoes.

Davis is loud and abrasive, and has a penchant for getting in trouble. However, for all his bluster, Davis is a deeply caring and loving person who is extremely loyal to his friends. He is a firm believer in second chances, willing to extend a hand in friendship to the worst of enemies should they accept it. He refuses to give up even when all seems lost, and his infectious optimism and determination are the reasons the new DigiDestined call Davis their leader.

Davis is a small boy with tanned skin, frizzy burgundy hair, and dark brown eyes. He wears a dark blue short-sleeved hoodie, brown shorts, and socks and sneakers of undetermined color. Davis is taller, and wears a pair of square goggles to emulate Tai Kamiya. These goggles break during his first visit to the Digital World, after which he receives Tai's goggles, wearing them from then on. In the Digital World, Davis wears a dark blue bomber jacket with a red and yellow flame pattern at the bottom and over a light green shirt. He also wears dark olive green shorts, dark blue socks, and orange and white boots.

Ken, in his core, is a sweet and kind person. He is polite and courteous towards others, and has a gentle spirit. However, he is haunted by the death of his older brother, Sam, and later by his actions as the Digimon Emperor. His guilt and his desire to make sure no one else suffers because of him causes him to be self-sacrificing and believe he doesn't deserve happiness. As the DigiDestined, primarily Davis Motomiya, welcome him into their group, he opens up and begins to smile more. Ken has a blunt and sassy side to him, which he only shows with people he is comfortable with like his mother and Davis.

Ken's hair is straight and rather long, reaching his chin in the front and slightly shorter in the back. He is usually seen wearing Tamachi Elementary School's uniform: a grey gakuran-style jacket with the school symbol on the collar, grey pants and black shoes

Yolei has long and straight lavender hair that reaches to her waist and brown eyes and is always seen wearing large, round glasses.she wears a light blue turtleneck shirt under a tan vest with pockets on both sides in addition to white gloves, red pants that are puffy around the thighs held up by a black belt with a silver buckle, and tall light green and white boots with a zipper. On her head, she wears an orange helmet, made of a malleable material like leather.

Yolei is energetic and usually confident, although she can sometimes be embarrassed to admit her true feelings if they don't meet her standard for herself. She is also stubborn, cheeky and impulsive. While she is somewhat loud and bold, Yolei is very sincere and true to her feelings to the point where she is often unaware of others or how her feelings are affecting them very similar to Mimi Tachikawa. She is not only compassionate and generous, but capable of being decisive and resourceful. She has odd tendencies to suddenly become depressed without explanation, but always finds the strength to come back and help her friends.

Despite being the youngest of the DigiDestined, Cody is the most serious, and always conducts himself with a maturity that is far beyond his years. A lot of his wisdom comes from his grandfather, who has been the sole masculine figure in his life ever since his father died. In the beginning, his worldview is very black-and-white, as befitting a child, which leads him to be very stubborn and to be rather hard on people. Later on, throughout his adventures as a DigiDestined, he realizes the error of his ways and gradually softens in nature, having understood that it was utterly impossible for reality and people to be as black-and-white as he once firmly believed them to be.

Cody is taller, but still young and small compared to the other Digidestined. In the Digital World, he wears a beige tunic buttoned up with a single square button, a wide collar and purple trimmings. He also wears a yellow undershirt with a high collar, purple pants, black socks, and brown and white slip-on shoes.

Meiko is a very shy and gentle girl, often apologizing for her social awkwardness when meeting new people. She sneezes often when she gets too embarrassed, and tends to blush quite a bit too. Being less experienced than the other Digidestined, Meiko often needs to be rescued by them from danger, and at times they scold her for being too close to dangerous situations that she cannot handle.

Meiko is a teenage girl with fair skin, long black hair with a fringe in the forehead, and pink eyes. In "Reunion", she wears black glasses with rectangular lens, however she wears red glasses with rectangular lens due to her original glasses breaking in the fight with Alphamon. Her second pair are damaged by Dark Gennai and are replaced by a third pair, another pair of red glasses similar to her second.
