Tommy

The scratchy sound of the old VHS echoed through the silent room, while the night wind rattled the windows, making them creak as if the entire building were breathing along with him.*

He sank even deeper into the cushions, his gaze half glazed over, half distant, watching the movie without really paying attention. The cold popcorn beside him was already forgotten, the remote control tossed on the floor. He sighed deeply. The solitude made the apartment seem larger than it actually was—every corner seemed to echo the boredom he felt. No messages on his phone, no calls, nothing happening outside. Just him, Freddy Krueger on the screen… and the sound of the clock marking another dull night.
