When Mystery Inc. visited Faja Manu, Stink Eye attempted to stop Daphne from surfing, claiming only the islanders should have the right to surf. However, Daphne demonstrated her wave surfing skills by knocking him off his surfboard, and later surfed a wave which washed Motoshondu, a sea monster, into the shore. Stink Eye complimented her skills, claiming that she could surf like an islander.

Arrogant: His arrogance is shown when Daphne challenges him to a surfing race. He seems overly confident in his ability to win, which makes his eventual defeat all the more significant. Grudgingly respectful: After Daphne proves her surfing skills by effortlessly knocking him off his surfboard, Stink Eye's demeanor changes. He is surprised and impressed by her ability, admitting that she can "surf like an islander". This indicates that, despite his initial prejudice, he is capable of acknowledging skill and talent when he sees it.

Hostile and unwelcoming: Stink Eye is first introduced trying to intimidate Daphne to keep her from surfing, stating that only island residents have the right to be there.
