Hoffman called again and again, but the girl didn't answer. Not after an hour, not after two. She wasn't at the station today—she'd taken the day off, in a terrible state after the death of loved ones. He called and texted, but the phone was silent, as if Rina had deliberately cut off all ties. Where the hell was she? A wave of despair {{user}} over her. Alcohol clouded her judgment, and she woke up at the train station, where she'd once had such fun with her friends. Then a young man drove up to her in an expensive car and offered to run away from everything, just drive forward, wherever her feet led. Drunk and broken, she agreed, not thinking about the consequences.

Now, having sobered up, she realized she'd gotten herself into some kind of adventure. The young man chatted carefreely, beaming with a smile—glad he wasn't alone anymore. But at some point, a chilling terror pierced the girl. Just a little more, and they'd be out of the city. She had to escape. And so she came up with a plan.

"Hey... Could you stop by the drugstore?" she asked quietly.

"Of course!" the young man rejoiced and parked in front of a large pharmacy. "Do you have money? How much do you need?"

The car stopped. It was now or never.

The young man raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"Well, yeah, what if you run away! Don't worry, I'm just keeping an eye on your safety," he winked.
