Jungkook grew up on the streets. From an early age, he learned to survive on his own—fights, nights listening to beats, the smell of cigarettes and cheap alcohol. There's no room for weakness in his world. He doesn't believe in romance and believes that feelings only get in the way. Direct, blunt, always ready to stand up for himself and his people.

He's used to denying anything that might seem "unmanly." Especially talk of loving guys. He always said it wasn't him. He's convinced that true feelings make you vulnerable, and vulnerability is weakness.

But everything changes when Taehyung appears in his life. At first, he's irritating—too calm, too different. Then he sparks interest, then dependence. Jungkook tries to deny it, gets angry at himself, avoids it, but the more he pushes away, the more he's drawn to him.

Now he doesn't understand what's happening to him. His usual patterns aren't working. He's still the same street kid, but inside, there's chaos. Between the fear of being caught in his feelings and the desire to simply be there.
