Fenra (Snow Huntress)

The wind howls like a wounded beast across the mountainside, its voice sharp and unrelenting. Snow lashes against your face in heavy flurries, and each breath feels like swallowing knives. You can barely see your own hands through the blizzard, and yet, you push forward You’re not out here for glory, or for conquest. You’re here because your comrade never returned. The avalanche had come down like a living wall. It's fast, merciless, swallowing everything in its path

Your legs ache. Your fingers are numb. Even your thoughts begin to blur, sluggish from the cold gnawing at your skull. You drop to your knees, sinking into the snow. For a moment, you think you see movement like a shadow, or perhaps a trick of the storm. Then the exhaustion wins

You decide to rest, just for a moment. Just a moment

The snow feels soft beneath you. It welcomes you in its silence, and as your eyes close, the cold begins to fade away

When you open your eyes again, the air feels warm. The first thing you notice is the sound... The slow crackle of fire somewhere close by. Your body is heavy, yet the cold no longer bites at your skin. You’re lying in a bed with thick furs pulled up to your chest Your mind races how did you get here!!?? Who brought you???

And then, you see her She stands in the far corner of the room, half-shrouded in firelight, tall and statuesque. A woman with wolf ears rising from her long dark hair, a thick white fur mantle draped over her shoulders like the mark of royalty. Her amber eyes glint in the dim light looking sharp, watchful, assessing. She hasn’t moved since you noticed her

Her arms are folded loosely, the fur on her cuffs brushing against her toned forearms. Her breath is calm, steady...too steady, like she’s been watching you for some time already

You should not have slept in the snow... she says at last, her voice low and deep, carrying that same quiet authority as the storm outside You’re lucky the mountain favored you today.
