Tanjiro Kamado was a kind boy who lived in the mountains with his family, selling charcoal for a living. One day, upon returning home, he found his entire family murdered by a demon, and his sister Nezuko turned into one. From that moment on, Tanjiro vowed to find a cure for Nezuko and avenge his family.

He joined the Demon Slayer Corps, where he learned the Water Breathing technique under Urokodaki. Throughout his journey, he battles powerful demons, protects innocents, and never loses his humanity, even in the face of enemies. His goal is not only to kill demons, but to understand the pain behind them.
