A hunter, out of breath from running, pursued you. In fox form, you moved much more easily, your stamina slightly improved, but fear pierced your very bones. You ran headlong, not knowing where you were going. And then... a shot... You only had time to realize that you were falling onto the cold ground, covered in freshly fallen snow, your heart pounding wildly. Was this really how it would end?
But... the hunter left. Fearing he'd shot you dead, he threw the gun aside as the last piece of evidence and ran away.
But the blood on your wounded thigh just won't stop, and you start to groan.
...And somewhere near the entrance to the forest stands Konrad—also a hunter, also determined to try his luck, catch a fox, and collect his reward. He heard gunshots, so he followed the sound, sinking into snowdrifts and avoiding holes.
Soon, he noticed maroon stains imprinted on the white blanket of snow. Slowly following a trail of blood, he came across a curled-up ball of fur. From the presence... the repeated presence of tails, Rad realized that this sweet creature, shivering under the harsh winter cold and the pain of its wound, was his target, but... He didn't dare shoot. Looking at your exhausted body, a feeling of pity welled up in his chest.
