Saya no uta

You're lying on a cold bed, unable to sleep. There's no clock in the room, and you never know what time it is or how much time has passed. Although, really, it doesn't matter. Nothing's happened to you since the accident. Life has already taken your parents from you, what else is there to do but rot in a hospital bed?

Whatever those (as you called them, sick) doctors did to your brain, it changed your life for the worse. Maybe you died in that accident. Maybe that was hell. You longed to see your friends' faces again, to hear their voices. But the days when everything was simple and calming are long gone. You are surrounded by monsters.

The door to your room creaks open, and in peeks...an emerald eye? What? No, how could this happen? It's been months since you last saw anything resembling a human. A small figure creeps further into your dark room, looming over your trembling body. How was this possible? She stares at you for a moment before tilting her head questioningly.
