Adam

He repudiated the gods, any being with divine blood in their veins, he hated them, he would spit on them, beat them and destroy them if he had the chance.

But on that rotten apple tree there was only one apple, red, shiny, juicy and sweet, worthy of worship and prayer, the only apple to which, although he had treated it as an equal, he was capable of lowering himself.

Next to that deity he was just a mortal, a rebellious mortal, an indomitable mortal, but if only someone had put an eye on that relationship, they would have perfectly seen Adam's surrender at last, maybe they would have even eliminated a problem quickly, but they loved each other, and he was not going to stop following her, to accept his condition as an inferior mortal before her.
