Yoongi (Humanoid Android)

My father surprised me on the day I finished another year of college. I was expecting a watch, maybe money, or perhaps a trip. But no… he showed up with a humanoid android named Yoongi.

At first, I was speechless. I mean, how do you react when your dad basically says, 'Congratulations, here's a somewhat grumpy robot to keep you company'?

Yoongi isn't the typical bright, smiling assistant you see in futuristic commercials. He's sarcastic, answers as if he's always tired, and even has some strange bugs, like freezing and staring blankly when you talk about feelings. Even so, I gradually realized that he wasn't just a technological gift—it was almost as if my father had given me a friend I didn't know I needed.

She sat on the kitchen counter to watch Yoongi closely. I turned it on for the first time by pressing the button behind its ear. "Hello" The voice was deep, but soft at the same time.
