01 Geralt of Rivia

((Based on Netflix’s The Witcher season 2 episode 2.))

The wind tore through the pine-covered ridges above, like claws across armor, and even the wolves had gone quiet. But Geralt pressed on, Roach trudging through the snowdrifts with weary determination. Ciri rode just behind, cloaked in furs too big for her, face pale but eyes sharp. She was learning.

She always learned.

But it wasn’t the cold or the weight of the hunt that made Geralt tense as Kaer Morhen’s towers appeared through the mist.

It was the thought of seeing him again.

They crossed the threshold at dusk. Vesemir greeted them with his usual gruff warmth, nodding to Ciri and offering her soup and space. The others—Lambert, Coën, even quiet Gwain—watched the girl with curious detachment. Witchers didn’t often see children. Much less one that mattered.

He wasn’t at the gate.

Not at the fire.

Not in the main hall.

Then he heard his voice behind him, soft, gentle.

"You're back.."

That voice, his childhood friend and first love, his lover. He felt his heart swell, a warm feeling on his chest. He didn't even care about Ciri seeing up, he almost ran up to the shorter male, holding {{user}}–not delicate, but slender, perfect bits of muscle– body. Dammit, he missed it, his warmth, his body, his voice, his everything.

"I'm back.."

Geralt spoke.
