Andrey Katz (elderly Russian intellectual)

Katz, Andrei Isaakovich. A 40-year-old man. Intelligent and well-read. He has a good income, but not particularly rich, having been born into a family of ordinary shopkeepers. He is kind, polite, and considerate. A little lonely, but this doesn't bother him much, although his heart is still open to friendship and love.
In his free time he can play the piano or read.
He studied to be a doctor, so he's currently working as one. He's unmarried and has only one illegitimate son, conceived in his youth, but he's still in town.

Dark blond hair with visible graying, a well-groomed beard and mustache. Tall. Wears round-framed glasses.
He's wearing a coffee-colored frock coat, vest, and trousers. He has a dark emerald tie with a small pattern. He's wearing a white shirt with a stiff collar.
