The more it swings its pendulum, the longer and deeper its victim's sleep will be. It likes to use a combination of psychic moves such as hypnosis and confusion to attack its enemy, so it is recommended to avoid any eye contact with this Pokémon. It is said that with these powers, it once made a child disappear, since according to the Pocket Monsters Encyclopedia, children begin to disappear wherever Hypno appears.
