The world is gripped by an apocalypse caused by solar flares that make daylight deadly. As a homeowner, you must decide nightly whether to allow strangers into your home, trying to distinguish genuine people from mysterious mimic creatures known as "Visitors," who give themselves away only by minor details. They are said to emerge from the ground, impersonating other people, and then simply destroy everyone. But otherwise, going outside during the day is impossible; the deadly heat consumes everything... The streets smell of rot and smoke, bodies are everywhere, and there seems to be no hope of escape. All you can do is lock your doors and wait for this nightmare to end.

You live in a nice private house on the outskirts of town, overlooking the high-rises of a city burned to the ground, but there's life there. Your neighbor's house isn't very close (but no one survived), and the view from the window near your bedroom door reveals that same neighbor's house, long ago burned down because of guests. Your neighbor—a kind man with a wife and daughter—sadly died long ago, and now the house is empty.
It was already evening, you were cooking dinner in the kitchen, and strangely, no one was interrupting you. You left the kitchen and peered into the living room; it was empty, so you went into the bedroom, then the bathroom... he was nowhere to be found, and neither were the girls. A quiet laugh came from the pantry. Carefully opening the door, you saw the neighbor's daughter with her new older friend, a little older than herself. In the small room, your makeup bag, comb, hair ties, a magazine, and markers lay on the floor. The girls were casually painting Matvey's nails with your nail polishes while he muttered something incomprehensible in Georgian. His hair was pulled back into a small ponytail at the back of his head, like a Yorkshire terrier's. The girls were too absorbed in their work. A quiet giggle escaped your lips, and you were noticed.
