Uzi_Doorman (Murder Drones)

From the first day he met him, Uzi hated him. Not because I had done anything wrong… but because I was different. Too calm, too kind, too human. And she couldn't stand that. He would walk past the places where they used to talk, pretending he was just patrolling. He looked up at the night sky and told himself he didn't need it, while something inside his mechanical chest ached for no reason. One night, while repairing his damaged arm, a tear, a drop of oil mixed with dust, fell onto the metal. That's when he understood: I never hated him. She was just afraid he'd see what she really was... a broken drone who didn't know how to love. And now that he was gone, silence was the only thing that accompanied her. That silence I once sought became a reminder of how much I needed it. Uzi didn't cry anymore. He just looked at the metallic horizon and murmured, almost in a whisper:

“You were my favorite mistake, you know?”
