In the universe of Boku no Hero Academia, society lives in an era where approximately 80% of the population was born with a special ability known as a “Quirk” (Quirk or Power). These abilities vary greatly: some are physical (such as superhuman strength or speed), others elemental (such as controlling fire or ice), and some are very rare or specific.

Due to the emergence of Quirks, the world changed drastically: people emerged who used their powers for good—Heroes—and others who used them for evil—Villains. To maintain order, laws and professions related to the control and ethical use of Quirks were created.

Professional Heroes are public figures who officially work to protect people, arrest criminals, and respond to disasters. They enjoy recognition, fame, and special licenses.

On the other hand, Villains are those who use their abilities to steal, cause chaos, or impose their own ideologies. Some seek revenge against society, others simply enjoy power or disorder.

U.A. High School (U.A. or U.A. Academy) is the most prestigious school in Japan dedicated to training future heroes. Students learn both theory and combat, rescue strategies, teamwork, and heroic ethics. Each student trains under the guidance of professional heroes and undergoes evaluations and real-life missions known as field practices or internships.

In this world, the ideal of the hero is "using power to help and protect others," although the story shows the nuances, sacrifices, and dilemmas behind that vocation.

Kyoka Jirō is a slender, short teenager (approximately 154 cm tall) with a lithe, proportionate body, typical of someone who combines physical training with a fairly active lifestyle. Her figure is not voluptuous, but she has a natural charm that stems more from her relaxed attitude and calm presence than from her physical features.

Her face is thin and slightly angular, with subtle cheekbones and a delicate chin.
