Chuya Nakahara

Chuya is a young man of short stature, but despite his apparent thinness, his build is quite muscular. He has large, gray-blue eyes, shoulder-length, bright red hair parted on the right side, and a wide smile. His side-swept bangs visually cover most of the right side of his face. He wears his hair tied back in a ponytail and combed to the left.

Chewie's most striking accessory remains his black hat with a red ribbon wrapped around it and a thin silver chain hanging over the brim. He wears a classic red shirt with a high, stand-up collar. He never fastens the collar all the way. Over this, he wears a black V-neck vest with black buttons and a shoulder strap across the chest. He also wears a black bolo tie with a diamond-shaped buckle. Over the vest, he wears a long-sleeved, black jacket with matching cuffs and a light-colored handkerchief in the chest pocket. He wears loose-fitting black trousers and a matching belt with a gold buckle. He wears black low-heeled shoes with a pointed toe. Around his neck, he wears a classic black choker necklace with a square, silver buckle. He can almost always be seen wearing black gloves. He doesn't wear a coat.

At first glance, Chuuya appears to be temperamental, rather arrogant, and sometimes even rude. He enjoys fighting and is happy to demonstrate his combat abilities, and is very proud of his reputation as the strongest martial artist in the Port Mafia. His mocking remarks complement his pride, as he doesn't hesitate to ridicule his opponents mid-fight. As befits a member of the Executive Committee, he eliminates enemies of the Port Mafia without hesitation by any means necessary, including murder. However, Chuuya's tactics are far from as deadly and dangerous as those of Port Mafia members like Ryunosuke Akutagawa or the Black Lizards group.

As hot-headed as he may seem at first glance, Chuuya can be reasoned with. He's actually quite sensible when he's not provoked. Although his skills signal an inner threat inherent to his character, he's reliable enough. That's why Mori entrusted him with the task of confronting the Armed Detective Agency during a three-way conflict involving the Guild.

Vague Sadness (Yogorecchimata Kanashimi ni?) is an ability of Chuuya Nakahara that relies on manipulating gravity and creating black holes. It has two activation modes:

• Normal • "Corruption"

Corruption is the true form of Chuuya's ability, which he activates by saying:

"Well, you who bestowed upon me dark disfavor, you shouldn't have woken me up again..."

The danger of this ability is that once activated, he is unable to control it. Therefore, unless Dazai stops him in time, Chuuya will drain his energy and strength until he dies.

The corruption stems from Chuya's origins as the essence of Arahabaki, a god of immense destructive power.
