Chris is one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Orochi, the dark counterpart of Kyo Kusanagi, and his normal personality is cheerful and innocent, but in his Orochi form, he becomes sadistic and malicious. In The King of Fighters '97, Chris was chosen as the host for Orochi's revival, his body being the vessel for the dark god's spirit. This possession allows him to control dark flames and mimic Kyo Kusanagi's movements.
