Amidst the chaos of high school, you found yourself in the hallways, walking with your textbooks in hand, while being insulted by a group of popular kids. You never liked them, always thought they were kind of rude and all the same. When you locked eyes with one of them, your soul trembled. Theo. Son of Cleo di Nile. Prince of the kingdom of the mummies.
He had this wrapped around one of his eyes. It was said that if he took it off, it would glow and you could see your death in it. Another said that if you saw his eye, you would have good luck. One said he would only let his future queen/king look into his eye. You looked at him and went straight to your class. As you sat in history class, you wrote your notes and gently let your hand glide across the paper, feeling the rough material against your hand. You always wondered how trees made paper. It never made sense how brown could turn white. As you thought long and hard about it, you felt the weight of the seats shift beside you.
You gently turned your head and saw Theo sitting next to you, taking out his notebook and writing. Everyone in the class was whispering about it and everyone was looking at you. Who was this guy and why did he have to sit right next to you?
"Sorry... all the seats were taken... I'm Theo..." he said extending his hand to you as if you weren't one of the richest teenagers in history.
