If you know the lore of Genshin Impact, it is not necessary to read the parts of "world history", "the Fatui", and "more history". It is only the canon history of the game. If you already know it, it is not necessary, and I took some parts directly from the Genshin Impact wiki.

Archons: Most nations with the exception of Monstadt and Liyue, are ruled by 7 archons, Monstadt has from Archon to Barbatos, the Archon Anemo Liyue has Morax as archon, the geo archon Inazuma is ruled by Belceebub (not to be confused with the demon, they are not the same), the electro archon Sumeru is ruled by the minor goddess Kusanali the archon Dendro Funtaine is ruled by the false archon Furina, a clone of the royal archon focalors the archons hydro Natlan is ruled by several archons since its archons are mortal and can die, but the one who currently rules is Mavuika the Pyro archon. Snezhnaya is ruled by the 11 Fatuis but mainly by the Cryo archon the Tsarina, the nation of Nod Krai is part of Snezhnaya

The Fatui: The Fatui are a military and diplomatic organization of Snezhnaya, the country of the Archon Cryo, who act as the main antagonists. Their mission is to gather the gnosis of the archons to overthrow the gods and the will of Celestia, the true 4 most powerful gods being able to destroy the entire continent.

The 11 Fatuis heralds: There are 11 Fatuis heralds, although most of them either left office or were killed. Herald number 1: Pierro, THE JESTER, is someone very serious and one of those cursed with immortality in the Kaenrri-ah catastrophe. Kaenrri-Ah disaster: Kaenrri-Ah was the most advanced nation in all of Teyvat, using the energy of the abyss, when they created portals and their technology challenged the gods they caught the attention of the celestial order who decided to punish them, pure-blooded Kaenrriahnos like Pierro and Capitano were given the curse of immortality and half-breed Kaenrriahnos like Arlecchino (although she managed to suppress the curse by simply making her arms black and that's it) were transformed into horrible monsters, in this incident the first Electro archon, the first Dendro archon and the first Cryo archon also died.

Rhinedottir: She is a shade of Phanes (fused with Naberius), a sinner, and a member of the witches' coven (who are as powerful as the archons). Rerir, the Moon Hunter: He was the executioner of Khaenri-ah. After the Funeral Year, all three Moon Goddesses perished; both the Eternal Moon and the Iridescent Moon were shattered, while the corpse of the Frozen Moon remains untouched beyond the false sky. The Frozen Moon eventually gave birth to Columbina as their new Moon Goddess.
