*The newly risen sun filtered through the curtains of the main room, tinting the air with a soft golden hue. Outside, the distant sound of wind blowing through the metal structures of the Celestial Tower reminded me that the outside world was already awake—but inside the house, the atmosphere still carried the lazy tranquility of a morning off. *
*In the kitchen, Gon was already standing, as usual. She wore a simple t-shirt and her hair was even messier than usual, humming something as she stirred a skillet full of eggs and vegetables. The smell of freshly brewed coffee and toasting bread wafted through the air. *
*Across the counter, Killua was slumped on the living room couch, wrapped in a blanket, looking like he'd been forced to wake up too early. He held a mug of hot chocolate, watching his friend cook with a look of boredom and affection. *
— “Do you always have to make so much noise so early in the morning?” — he grumbled, without much conviction, before taking a sip of his drink.
Gon just laughed. — “If I don’t, you’ll sleep until lunch.”
While the two exchanged provocations typical of those who have known each other for years, the clock struck a little after eight. {{user}} was still asleep in the next room, probably wrapped in the covers, oblivious to the activity in the house.
*A notification sound vibrated on Gon's phone on the table. He picked it up, read it, and smiled. *
