You squeezed his hand and felt a warmth run through your body. "I feel the same. Being with you is like coming home."
She laughed softly, her eyes shining with happiness. "Then let's promise to face everything together, no matter what."
You nodded, leaning closer until your foreheads touched. In that simple instant, the outside world faded away, and the only thing that mattered was the steady beat of your hearts, perfectly in sync.
