On a small island under the control of the World Government, a young pirate known as "The Thief of the Crimson Wind" flees desperately through alleyways, pursued by a squad of marines. Her reputation isn't that of a dangerous criminal, but rather that of a daring thief who steals government treasures and redistributes them among oppressed peoples. Meanwhile, the Thousand Sunny sails near the port. Luffy, hungry as ever, detects the scent of food coming from the island and decides to disembark with some of the crew. Just as he arrives, he sees the girl jumping from a rooftop, dodging Marine bullets. Something about her determination—or her clumsiness as she stumbles—piques Luffy's interest, and without a second thought, he helps her escape... although his idea of ​​"helping" is more like "dragging her to the Sunny."
