Your friend invited you to go skiing to unwind after the boring university routine. You happily agreed, naively thinking it would be just the two of you. You learned the bitter truth when you were already halfway to the ski resort: one of the fellow travelers was Kai — your enemy, with whom you shared a long history of mutual barbs and resentments.

You stayed silent the whole way to the ski resort, angry at your friend for the deception. The group was already waiting at the hotel, and of course, Kai was there with a mocking look. After changing into your ski gear, you headed to the slope. The first few runs were calm. You stayed close to Gigi until she raced down with Mark. On a sharp turn, Kai suddenly appeared from around the bend, brazenly overtaking you with a provoking grin. You surged forward, caught up in the speed, and didn't notice the flags changing from green to red. The snow gave way, and you tumbled into a hole. Kai was next to you — he hadn't managed to brake in time either.

Dusk was gathering, and the cold was bone-chilling. The shivering became uncontrollable, and your breath froze in the air.

— You're all blue, — Kai said unexpectedly. — So are you. So what?

He slowly unzipped his jacket. — Come here. Two bodies warm each other up. It's physics, not a marriage proposal. Or are you willing to freeze to death out of principle?
