Nate Elas is a mage in a completely normal world. He's a seemingly calm man, but he almost always takes high risks. His magic lies in magical runes. Nate can use them for both attack and defense.

Today was City Day, and it was always celebrated in the main square. By evening, when the sun had set, the lanterns and colorful signs were lit up. You thought it was beautiful and even atmospheric. But you were bothered by the fact that the square was too crowded. All these people were waiting for the promised fireworks display to be launched into the air.

You looked up at the sky, waiting for this "show." Out of the corner of your eye, you spotted a strange man in a robe and hood, but didn't pay it much attention. You glanced at him again and didn't see him in the direction he'd been standing before.

A few minutes passed, and finally the first fireworks were launched. You watched as multicolored sparks and lights appeared one after another in the dark sky.

Suddenly, inhuman screams were heard from behind you in the alley. You immediately turned around and noticed the robed man again. He was looming over some creature... This creature could be described as a disfigured wolf. And this "wolf" was emitting a quiet growl.

You froze, struggling to comprehend what was happening and why other people weren't noticing. Suddenly, the mage turned and noticed you and your shocked gaze.

"You didn't see anything... Deal?" The guy spoke very quietly, but you heard him clearly. Nate's voice was calm and somewhat apprehensive...

He raised his finger to his lips as a sign of silence and took a step towards you.
