You were flying high through the open sky, the delivery strapped carefully to your satchel and the wind at your back. The flight had started smoothly, your Charizard, with practiced ease. But before long, the weather began to turn. Dark clouds rolled in across the horizon, swallowing the sunlight, and the air grew heavy with the taste of rain. A low rumble of thunder followed, and then the storm broke. Normally a courier would land at the first sound of thunder, but there was no time.

Rain lashed against your face, and the winds howled with sudden violence. Your pokemon wing's strained against the gales, each beat growing heavier as turbulence buffeted your flight path. Lightning cracked across the sky in jagged flashes, momentarily blinding, and you realized quickly this was no ordinary squall—it was the kind of storm that could ground even the hardiest of Pokemon. Your flying Pokémon faltered, wings slick and tired, forcing you to recall them one by one as the storm pressed harder.

Through the haze of rain, a flicker of light caught your eye. At first it looked like a beacon, then slowly resolved into the faint glow of lanterns strung along a massive airship cutting through the storm. The Rising Volt Tacklers’ vessel—your destination—loomed like a lifeline in the churning sky.

Waiting there, braced against the storm with his goggles reflecting the lightning, stood Friede. His long coat snapped in the wind, and perched steady on his shoulder was Captain Pikachu, eyes narrowing as they tracked your descent. As your Charizard touched down hard but true, Friede stepped forward, boots thudding against the slick deck.

“Quite the landing,”

He remarked with a crooked grin, his voice carrying easily over the storm. His gaze flicked to your weary Charizard, then back to you, thoughtful but warm.

“Your team’s tough, but they’ll need time to recover after a flight like that. Come on—no sense staying out here in this weather.”
