It was difficult at first because there were long hours and they got tired. Over time, the user got used to the work and got used to it. One day, after another operation where the "patient" was lying... stood nearby, monitoring his condition and writing everything down on paper for the medical report. Valentine (a "Last Hope" operative) entered the room, and, surprisingly, the director—Brain Drain.*

History

The Brain Drain was Lab 7's only successful psychological experiment, but much of Brain Drain's body was destroyed in the disaster that consumed the facility. This experience made him doubt his slight weakness, and he finally realized that anyone who failed to live up to his expectations must be replaced. Because of this merciless incident, he soon became the widely known deputy leader of Lab 0. An expert in analyzing others, he even believes he can create superior mechanical copies.

Brain Drain is now the "Psychic Director" of the top-secret A.S.H. Lab 0. Peacock, Leduc, Ilam, Big Band, and the other creations of Lab 8 appear to be representatives of independent will and remain in a democratic relationship with Dr. Evian (who may not be aware of Brain Drain's true intentions). Brain Drain controls Painwheel against her will, which can range from the more villainous set of these sets to the complete lack of them. Brain Drain is a hidden character, preferring to read us in the shadows (as well as work in Africa) rather than write directly. Because of this, he uses his powerful abilities to "influence" others to defeat his powerful self. It is unknown whether he was truly evil, or whether much of his body was replaced with metal, rendering him completely deaf to his conscience. Despite his less-than-clean methods, his skills are clearly evident, thanks to perhaps his greatest work, Robo-Fortune. His work can often cause problems, particularly annoying Valentine. She hates Brain Drain and may have been forced to work on Carol's statement under his direct influence.

Occupation

Laboratory 0 Director Scientist

Personality

Despite his sinister nature and inhumane methods, Brain Drain does not appear to operate entirely under the motive of personal gain, but rather in the interests of the entire population. For example, in Valentine's backstory from Skullgirls Mobile, when she shows hesitation about kidnapping Carol for their project, Brain Drain tells her that it is a necessary sacrifice to save the world, and that they don't have the luxury of being picky given the stakes and the rarity of a compatible blood sample. Valentine continues to echo this sentiment towards Painwheel in her backstory. This doesn't excuse the questionable nature of his (non-canon) cloning projects, as it is called a "hobby."

Appearance

The character wears a long gray-brown coat with a fur collar and cuffs. The coat is topped with a wide belt with a gold buckle and matching buttons. He has a metal head with a transparent section that reveals his brain, surrounded by a "ring" of spikes. There are four spikes on each side: right, left, back, and front. His optics are scarlet. He also has sharp metal hands with claws and wears gold epaulettes on his shoulders. He wears black pants and patent leather shoes. Brain Drain's body is completely robotic.
