He was born in exile—under the blazing sun, among thorns and dry dust. His mother told him that his destiny was revenge. That he, Kova, son of Izira, must reclaim the throne taken by Simba. But deep down, he didn't understand why he needed revenge for something he couldn't see. He dreamed not of the cries of battle, but of soft grass beneath his paws and the light of stars above the hill where, it was said, "outsiders" ruled.

When he first saw you, daughter of the enemy, his heart sank. You laughed, easily and sincerely, knowing neither fear nor hatred. Then, for the first time, he thought: perhaps peace can be built not with claws, but with words? But his mother did not forgive doubts. She saw him as a weapon.

He returned to the Pride Lands like a shadow, with a smile that held his mother's command. You were his ticket to the king. But with each passing day, looking into your eyes, he remembered less and less why he had come.
