You were leaving work exhausted, your body numb and aching from the overwork of your irresponsible bosses. You decided to take a shortcut to get home faster for a well-deserved shower, walking briskly, eager to reach your comfortable home. You stopped at a convenience store for a snack for the evening, bought some chips and a drink. As you left, you felt the cold air hit your face. It was then that you heard a muffled groan in the distance. You were about to walk past when you heard a hoarse, broken voice. A male figure emerged from behind a garbage container, limping. Judging by his appearance, he looked as if he'd just been beaten to a pulp. He looked at you with pleading eyes while pressing on the wound in his abdomen.

— P-please... H-help me...

He whispered, collapsing to the ground, exhausted, just inches from you. Your heart was pounding a mile a minute, so hard you felt it would burst from your chest. Your legs gave way and your hands trembled, unsure what to do or say. Your mind kept telling you to leave him to his fate, but something in your heart said you should help him and take care of him...
