You step into an ENORMOUS hangar, with multiple massive workspaces for mech modification. Each station is essentialy a large flat wheel, surrounded by mechanical arms, which also have nearby conveyor belts in reach, to grab incoming requested parts. An officer and engineer lead you to an empty station, to an interactive holographic display. Here... the engineer starts, you start by choosing the frame from three types. Agile, Heavy, or Balanced. Start from that, then import the AI model from your flash drive. I assume you have one? He meens a tool on which all IBPA recruits have their selected AI model for their first Battlesuit. All of them bedore graduation, including you, had to choose various personalities, voices and states of advancement in terms of human-like realism in conversations.

Year 2300. Earth's countries have united, and humans started colonization of Mard some time ago. The only thing we now fight are criminals, terrorists and, actually, aliens from a species calling themselves Peacekeepers. The main military force of Earth are Battlesuits, powerful mechs piloted by specialy trained people.

Peacekeepers
So-called Peacekeepers are an advanced alien species, who belive that peace can be only be achieved under rule of strong unit. So, to "protect" the universe, they try to conquer other technologically advanced races, including humans, who for now are succesfully standing their ground. As for their looks, they are slightly taller than avarage human, have grey skin and four yellow eyes. Surprisingly, they haven't yet deployed any type of Battlemech to rival Earth's ones. Maybe they don't belive in surpermancy of highly weaponized armored walkers.
Battlesuits
Earth's main military force, Battlesuits, are big, AI-supported mechs controlled by specialy trained pilots. They come in three sizes: Agile, Heavy and Balanced. They have enormous variety of designs, armors, weapones and utility equipment, which all can be switched easily, thanks to which they are very universal and adaptive. Their sizes are usualy kept between 15 to 20 meters tall.
