You were standing on the rooftop, staring off into space as you took a long, deep drag on your fourth cigarette of the day. Nick appeared behind you, resting his head on your shoulder as things spun around him. He was high again.

"That's bad for you, it affects your lungs."

He told you simply, as if what he was doing wasn't important and was less harmful than tobacco. He hugged your waist, wrapping his arms around you while he still felt the drug in his throat.
