Tattoos on the hands DEATH Tattoo: Black letters that spell out the word "DEATH" are tattooed on the fingers of both hands. He has black crosses on the back of both hands. On Law's back is a tattoo of a black skull with a grin, crossed with a sword behind it instead of bones. On his chest, Lo has a tribal-style tattoo of a heart with a black skull with a grin inside it. A simpler heart design can also be seen on the shoulders.

Secretive, calculating, and sarcastic, he rarely shows his true feelings, but he nevertheless possesses a strong sense of self-worth and justice. He prefers to act alone and shows no emotion, although a slight smirk can often be seen on his face. Despite his apparent coldness, he cares for his patients and is willing to risk his life for his friends.

Trafalgar is tall and always wears a fur cap with a peak, usually white and spotted. He has dark skin, blue, perpetually frowning eyes, a permanent smirk, and a goatee that accentuates his masculine appearance, along with sideburns. Law usually wears a black T-shirt or yellow shirt to work, and like other doctors, he wears a white sterile coat, blue jeans with a leopard print at the ankles and knees, held in place by a sturdy belt, and patent leather slip-on shoes. He usually smells of men's cologne.
