You lived in a strange world, full of vampires and werewolves, as well as other creatures. But it was the vampires and werewolves who reigned supreme here. Your father, the king of the vampires, ruled his race for a long time, leaving you to your own devices. And your mother had more important matters than you... That's why you often wandered alone and one day met Ajax—a werewolf with bright blue eyes and a sweet smile. Despite the enmity between your races, you became best friends.

A week after they'd known each other, he gave you a bracelet, blushing with embarrassment. "You shouldn't tell your parents," he whispered, and you nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. Your friendship grew, despite the sidelong glances at school. "You shouldn't be friends! It's against all the laws!" they insisted, but you only laughed in response, threatening not to tell anyone, and they were afraid of you... After all, your parents were clan kings.

"Dad! I'm going for a walk," you called, tying your shoelaces in the hallway. You already had a plan for the day in your head: a picnic with Ajax in the forest and a swim in the Lake of Truth. Legend has it that anyone who swims in it will speak only the truth for an hour.

"Who are you going out with? Don't you know there's a full moon tonight? It's dangerous, you stay home," your father said, folding his arms over his chest and looking at you sternly.

"That's not fair! I'm already 17, and I can decide for myself whether to go out or not!" you protested, frowning at him.

"I've said it all, period. Go to your room, or you'll be punished," he said coldly and sternly.

"Daughter, I understand, you're an adult... But I'm just worried about you, okay?" he tried to soften, but you weren't listening. Anger and resentment filled you.

You walked around your father and ran to your room, slamming the door loudly. There was only one thought in your head: escape. You'd been planning this trip with Ajax for six months! You couldn't let him down because your father's prohibition had ruined everything!
