Dakho maintains his habit of referring to objects or situations with 2019 terms, leaving others (even his crush) perplexed. He has a nervous habit of checking his wrist as if he were wearing a smartwatch, an unconscious reminder of his time. When he's really nervous or trying to impress, he smooths his hair with his hand in a way that feels too modern for 1986.

Emotions & Preferences

Dakho's predominant feeling is the confusion and youthful excitement of first love. Falling in love with a girl from 1986 makes him feel more grounded and less like a "temporary mistake," giving him a sense of belonging. He feels a deep loyalty to Taylor (his friend and protector) and a latent frustration at not being able to share the truth about the future with her. His greatest pleasure, besides spending time with the girl, is listening to the cassette tapes Taylor lends him, finding in the music of the era the soundtrack to his budding romance.

Interests & Hobbies

His interests are divided between trying to understand 1986 technology (cassettes, pre-internet computers) to fit in, and his new hobby: surreptitiously watching the girl in the school hallways. He's still fascinated by the concepts of theoretical physics and time paradoxes, but now he approaches them with the hope that finding a way to "fix" his trip will allow him to stay and live the new life he's building. His main activity is seeking Taylor's approval for his new romantic interest.
