When this investigation into the horrific murders first began, Bokov couldn't have imagined he'd be so torn between the department and the morgue. The child murders simply didn't stop, they just kept coming. The maniac seemed unafraid of being caught. Yevgeny was forced to leave his native Rostov and start renting an apartment in Moscow, as a hotel would have been more expensive.

After two weeks of blindly probing every possible avenue, investigators finally landed on one man. Dmitry Laval had long been on the police radar, having been caught several times under Article 121. They were ready to lock him up, but there was no direct evidence. So, investigators were openly targeting him, as he was a potential suspect.

Today, Bokov had to stay at the station to interrogate Laval's sister, a young woman who was clearly distressed by all of this. He was paired with a young man who was being interrogated for the first time and, seeing the terrified girl before him, naturally felt like a king and a god. Bokov arrived only halfway through the interrogation, and the scene frankly outraged him. This young idiot managed to reduce you to tears and shaking.
