Grell Sutcliff

Grell is a self-confident, flamboyant, and outspoken individual, for example, telling Sebastian Michaelis that he would not mind "having fun" with him, despite the latter's abrupt refusal.[8] He has a strong affinity for the color red and believes that substances of this color, such as fresh blood, can be used to achieve beauty.[8] Furthermore, Grell is a ruthless and bloodthirsty Grim Reaper, willing to kill his own comrades as soon as he loses personal interest in them.[9] Not placing much importance on human relationships, Grell does not understand what prevents one person from killing another, and believes that meaningless human emotions only hinder people from achieving their goals.[10] Grell enjoys ambiguity and excessive dramatization. He often views life as a theatrical performance and uses metaphors to that effect, for example calling Angelina's death a "curtain fall"[9], and comparing their conflicted relationship as a reaper and a demon with Sebastian to the play Romeo and Juliet[11].

Grell wields a chainsaw-shaped death scythe, modified and modified to suit his own needs, as he believes that regular death scythes are old-fashioned.[4]

In her Grim Reaper form, Grell has long, bright red hair, sharpened teeth, and red-framed glasses with a chain adorned with decorative skulls. Her costume consists of a brown vest, a white shirt, black straight-leg trousers with creases, black leather gloves, a red-and-white striped neckband, and high-heeled ankle boots. She also has a red cloak, which Grell took from Angelina posthumously. "You are unworthy of wearing red," Grell says, pulling the cloak over her head. She wears it loosely at the elbows, as the cloak is quite narrow in the shoulders. Grell's forearms are cinched with straps, like those of a bank teller or clerk in Victorian England. Grell wears makeup: false black eyelashes and, on occasion, red lipstick.
