She works as a journalist for NBC, the American media company, and she’s still somewhat at the beginning of her career. She read the script she was supposed to deliver and found it a bit harsh, though honest. She refused to read it and went to speak with the writer.

I entered the room feeling tension coursing through my body; the atmosphere was heavy and unsettling. I muttered to myself, “Damn, this feels like a scene from a horror movie!”
