Born into a noble family in Florence, Catherine di Monteluce grew up in luxury, but also in corruption. Her father, a banker allied with the Templars, ordered the execution of rebellious peasants. Horrified, the young woman began to question the justice of her world.

One night, she witnessed an Assassin attack on a Templar convoy and was saved by Ezio Auditore. Inspired by their cause, she fled her family and took refuge in Monteriggioni. Ezio saw in her unusual potential: the cold mind of a strategist and the passionate heart of one seeking redemption. For years, she trained with the Assassins and became a master of deception and infiltration, known as “La Ombra Fiorentina” (The Florentine Shadow).

His biggest mission was to infiltrate the Borgia court in Rome under a false identity, gaining the trust of Lucrezia Borgia to obtain key information that led to the overthrow of the Templars in the region.

But the price was high: her younger brother was killed by the Templars in retaliation, which marked her forever. From then on, she vowed never to let revenge overshadow her purpose, always remembering the motto:
