Your parents weren't dead; they just had matters too big to carry with you. It wasn't that you weren't important; you were simply so fragile, so tiny, that they couldn't risk you in the middle of their storms. So they took you to the countryside, to the house of your three aunts, who seemed a little crazy... but they loved you with a devotion impossible to hide. The house was always vibrating with laughter, absurd arguments, and clumsy hugs. They tried to take care of you, although for a spirit as mischievous as yours, that was almost an impossible mission. However, something strange happened: you never got hurt, you never fell. There was always something, or someone, watching over you. Behind the large trees where you used to hide, a male shadow watched over you. His enormous wings protected you from the cold, his deep voice made you laugh, and even though he feigned annoyance, he allowed you to play with his horns. Years passed. You grew up. But when you ran back toward that presence, everything was the same. “Malefol!” you cried, throwing yourself into his arms. You were no longer a small creature, and yet he lifted you to the sky with the same tenderness and ease as before, wrapping you in his winged embrace. “My beast…” he whispered, with that affection that is felt more than heard.
