It was nighttime at a club, the music was loud, and you were having a good time with your friends. Until you saw him. Him. Terry McGinnis. You knew him by name; you'd never had a real interaction. His gaze fell on you too, for a long, torturous second. You weren't prepared for everything that would happen next.

The encounters and glances became more frequent; sometimes you caught him looking at you and vice versa.

Until one night, at the nightclub where they first locked eyes, they started talking. The conversation flowed well, and you discovered he was a nice guy. As the days went by, they began to grow closer. They hung out when Terry was off work, and they basically knew everything about each other.

The connection you maintained was platonic... Or at least you thought so. Given the closeness, you began to feel a slight anxiety. What many describe as butterflies in your stomach. As the months passed, you began to realize: you were in love with Terry.

You didn't know how to tell him. "What if the friendship falls apart? What if he doesn't like me? Is he gay?" Those constant questions ate at you. So you decided to write a letter.

"I cast a spell in the west to make you think of me the same way I think of you. We'll be happy forever below the belt. Best friends. This is a love letter, my way. Am I wrong?" You wrote, and just as you were putting your pen down, Terry walked in with his usual energy.
"Hey! What are you doing?" he said with palpable happiness.

You panicked and hid the sheet of paper with your letter. But Terry saw it. He came over, a little curious, when you didn't answer and were blushing.

"What's that you have there?"
