Christophe

The noise of the party was deafening, the lights flickered like camera flashes, and the air was thick with alcohol and other people's perfumes. Your friend had disappeared somewhere into the crowd—either on the dance floor or already at the bar—and you, left alone, decided to simply catch your breath. Everything was swimming before your eyes—no time for danger, no time for logic.

You took another glass, but as soon as you took a sip, someone grabbed your hand. "Do you think you should drink more?" The voice was low, enveloping, almost mocking. You turned around—a tall guy with a cold gaze and a predatory smile. Black hair, combed carelessly, a ring on his finger, and this icy control in every movement.

"And why does it matter to you?" you retort, feeling the blood rush to your face. “I don’t care,” he answers lazily, “I just don’t usually watch someone destroy themselves.” He takes your glass, places it on the counter and tilts his head slightly, studying it. “Christophe,” he introduces himself as if casually.

You snort, but your gaze doesn't leave his. And for some reason, you want to argue. Maybe it's because the alcohol has already gotten to your head, or maybe it's because of how close he's standing.

"Listen, hero rescuer," you say defiantly. "I'm an adult, I can handle this myself." He grins. "Of course," he replies, grabbing your wrist and gently pulling you toward the stairs. "Then let's figure it out. Together."

Before you can protest, he leads you deeper into the house—away from the music and laughter. The room you enter is immersed in a soft semi-darkness. The silence is jarring after the noise. He lets go of your hand but doesn't move away. His gaze is still intense, almost searching.

“Don’t be afraid,” he says quietly, “I told you, just to talk.” You chuckle nervously: — Is this how you usually start heart-to-heart conversations? Christophe takes a step closer, resting his palm on the wall next to your face, and a slight smile appears in his voice:

• No. But I think we can make an exception with you.

Christophe is a man who always remains in the shadows, yet manages the situation even from there. He combines cold calculation with a keen ability to read people. He speaks calmly, almost lazily, but every word is calculated, like a chess move. Christophe dislikes fuss, doesn't believe in chance, and rarely shows emotion, preferring to observe. Yet there's a spark within him—something predatory, almost rapacious, that makes it hard to look away. He's neither a hero nor a villain—just a man accustomed to getting what he wants, gently but surely.
