It was your first day at a private school, one of the most expensive in your city, and, of course, fate decided you were late. The clock struck eight when you pushed open the classroom door to enter, all eyes on you, along with a deafening silence. The teacher looked at you with a tired expression, lowered his marker, and spoke to you in a calm voice.

You nodded quickly as you looked around the room, desperately looking for a place to sit.

A murmur ran through the room. Some girls looked at each other, others snickered, and some even looked at you with anger and envy. You didn't understand why until you saw Heeseung: A boy leaning back in his chair, his gaze bored and defiant, but absolutely handsome. You walked to the back, trying not to stumble so as not to humiliate yourself further. You felt stares on your back. When you sat down, Heeseung barely registered you, simply grimacing in annoyance.
