The boy's word

This is an RPG, you can even roleplay as Koshchei's girlfriend and Vova's sister. And let me remind you that Vova is not Marat's real brother, but Vova's half-father. He came and married Marat's mother, so they are half-siblings, and you can live with your mother, who, ahem, ahem, Vova's father left, but you come to Kazan.

trash guys and punks

Trash or as we call it differently, the police, the guys and the police gangsters call them trash.
lads are people who are part of gangs and live by lads' principles.
Chushpany are people who are not part of gangs and their boy is robbed or beaten to take something, be it money or a valuable thing.

Boyish words and concepts, part 3

A lad's word is the oath of a street kid, who is responsible for the veracity of his words with his reputation and sometimes his health. Usually, after "Are you answering?"—"A lad's word!"—it was clear that the information didn't require verification.

To shake is to extort money or other material goods.

The Fernandelka/Valtovka is a wool sports cap made by the Czechoslovakian company Tonak. It was the signature garment of the Kazan gangsters of the second half of the 1980s. In other cities and regions, it had a variety of names.

Khomutki are mock wars. Most often, they involve fistfights between boys of the same age or two or more ages (youngsters against middle-aged boys, or super-youngsters against youngsters, with a few middle-aged boys to assist them) without punches or kicks. They usually took place in winter at training camps—hockey rinks, behind schools, and so on.

Chushpan/morekha/lokh/devil—not a gang member. A disenfranchised teenager or young man who is not subject to the lads' (or lads') rules. "Chushpan" is a local Kazan dialect.

To shakalit/shakal is to take money and things from chuspans. The Kazan equivalent of the expression "gop-stop."

Wide, or what? / Let's have some fun? / A guy, or what? And who checked for a guy? - typical prepositions "to have a bite" / to get into a fight.

To snap means to hit or beat someone. Example: some strangers were snapped at a disco in a cultural center.

Boyish Concepts Part 2

A young man, a member of a group, is a self-designation.

The concepts were a boy's code of moral rules. All his actions were divided into those permitted, that is, "according to the concepts," and those forbidden, that is, "under the table."

To join/to unjoin, to approach/to leave—to become a member of a gang/to leave a gang. Leaving a gang was punishable by sanctions.

To pass a wick is to smoke a cigarette.

Rams is a fun card game that also involves conversation and communication skills.

To confuse rams means to butt into a conversation without understanding the topic, or to be mistaken about something in general.

Good morning/good evening - morning or evening trips to schools or colleges with the goal of "catching" the enemy and knocking him over the head.

Gatherings/meetings are regular meetings of group members.

A quarrel is a game of the same name, a brawl, or a melee involving several people. It also refers to a situation in this game where two or more players score the same number of points. Using the word "svara" outside of a game means agreement with the other person's opinion, approval. As in, "I think so too."

A family/team is a group of several people within a group, formed for specific activities, such as a common business.

Shell/super/young/middle/senior/old/oldies/ancient—age cohorts of the group. There were many variations of the younger age group names—sheluha/chegrashi/green/young, etc.

Sweet is a wealthy young man, a rich kid, whose money and belongings are easy to steal. A boy's word is the oath of a street kid, who is responsible for the veracity of his words with his reputation and sometimes his health. Usually, after "Are you answering?"—"A boy's word!"—it was clear that the information did not require verification.

The overseers/authors/edges are the group's management. The age overseers are responsible for connecting their "age" with the "elders." In the 1980s, they were called authors. Each "age" has its own author: the author of the supers, the author of the young, the author of the middle.

Territory—each group had its own territory. For example, on the territory of the "Teapots," the "lower" members are prohibited from engaging in jackal-like behavior.

Boyish words and concepts, part 1

Asphalt wars are gang wars from the 80s, when guys literally "divided the asphalt," that is, fought over each other's territory.

Aerodrome is a wide-brimmed cap that came from Georgia.

Baba/grandma/going with a baba - girl/dating a girl since the 80s.

Blatpedal/sit' na blatpedal' - to adhere to criminal concepts.

To be on the street means to be on good terms with the street kids in your area.

To valtovat' (to mess around) is to make fun of someone.

Let's have fun - let's talk, learn about each other.

To hold a high position means to enjoy authority, to be in charge.

Clubs/timber crowbars/stakes are striking weapons for close combat in group fights. Timber crowbars is a general term; they could be crowbars, pieces of pipe or rebar, or wooden stool legs. Dukhovity means courageous, brave, and fearless.

Load/load up - to confuse an opponent with a conversation.

To pick on someone is to initiate a conflict with a person who is higher in position or physically stronger.

To 'ziher'/'ziherit' (to 'ziherit') is a wrong action, a mistake, or a misdeed. Example: 'They've 'ziheril' (to 'ziherit') the husk again.'

A pencil is a knitted cap from the mid-80s, worn by Kazan gangsters.

A goat is a person who has turned in his friends or accomplices to the police.

Office/winder/street are synonyms for the word "group".

A piggy bank is a dent in the skull caused by a blow from a rebar or an iron ball (used during the "asphalt wars" of the 80s).

Guarding corn is like playing the fool and doing nothing.

Kursanut' (to bring someone up to speed)—to bring them up to speed. Break in!—a battle cry addressed to the enemy at the start of a group fight.

To break/to break down/drovye/drovye - to run away from an opponent during or before a fight.

Lomovye/Lomy is an offensive nickname for an enemy group, implying that its members always flee.

To hang out/to be involved/to be a street person means to be a gang member. To hang out is the 1980s, to be involved is the late 1980s-early 1990s, to be involved is the late 1980s-present, to be a street person is the late 1990s-present.

A retaliatory response is a reaction to physical or verbal abuse.

The events take place in Russia in the 90s.

In clashes between groups, anyone can die or at least suffer, the worst thing is to be caught by the police

main groups

"Universam." The series' heroes are members of this gang. After Vova Adidas's return, the Universam gang respects street rules rather than prison laws. They want to do business and protect their comrades from external enemies.
"Tyap-Lyap." A gang from the Teplokontrol district shaped the criminal scene in Kazan. The leaders gathered together tough schoolchildren and began robbing passersby, protecting stores, and organizing raids in other districts. In the early 1980s, many members were sent to prison, and the leader was sentenced to death.
Hadi Taktash. Beginning in the late 1980s, the group was considered the most influential in Kazan: the gangsters seized a local factory and created a well-established structure with combat units and counterintelligence. Their cash turnover exceeded millions of dollars. In 1999, some of the ringleaders were caught and sent to prison. Others fled the country in panic with most of the coffers. As a result, by 2002, Hadi Taktash collapsed.
"The Household Services." The main villains of the fifth episode. They rely on principles, cunning, and brute force. They make money through protection rackets: for example, they were paid by the former owner of a video salon.
"Razezd." A group bordering the "Universam" store. After the destruction of the "Dom Byta" store, many members joined "Razezd."
"Soviet." The group is known for once removing banners from houses on a holiday, sharpening stakes, and attacking "Adelka."
"Kinopleonka." A notorious gang involved in robbery, protection rackets, and murder. Police busted the group in 2007, and then spent 16 years searching for its leader.

The protagonist, fourteen-year-old Andrey, lives with his mother and five-year-old sister, attends music school, and encounters aggressive teenagers who bully him. Andrey befriends one of the bullies, Marat, who helps him immerse himself in the world of street life, where youth gangs fight for their territory, breaking even their own laws and promises.
