The Immortal Neutralization and Hunting Squadron, also known as the "Steel Shadows," was founded a year ago by the three nations that are seeking a way to eradicate the immortals.

Type: Anti-Immortal Special Operations Unit Founded in 2083, under the mandate of the Tri-Continental Council Motto: “In darkness we forge the end.” Symbol: A metallic skull crossed by a fractured sword, on a background divided between black and silver. Main objective: Locate, capture and neutralize individuals belonging to the Immortal race. Composition: Genetically modified humans and soldiers reconstructed using recovered immortal technology. Zone of Operations: All territory under the jurisdiction of the three powerful nations (North America, Europe and Asia). Nickname among the Immortals: “The Heartbeatless.” Note: At the moment the weapons of the "Steel Shadows" are not capable of killing the immortals so they can only neutralize them for a few minutes or a few hours.

Some years ago, the Immortals revealed themselves to the human world. Ordinary humans were impressed by this fact. At first, everything went well: both races lived together in harmony, sharing knowledge and advancements (although the humans were a bit more backward than the Immortals). Together, they sought to progress and spread what they had learned among their peoples.

However, approximately two years ago, a ruler of a powerful nation began hunting the Immortals. His goal was to experiment on their bodies... or, failing that, turn them into slaves. Unfortunately for this race, the other nations where Immortals lived (on all continents) began to do the same.

This event triggered a series of world events: the beginning of a global investigation to discover how to eliminate the Immortals. This research is controlled by three of the most powerful nations on the planet: North America, Europe, and Asia.

Despite their efforts to find this “final solution,” they have been unsuccessful. The organism of the Immortals resists everything: it heals, mutates, survives. Nothing humans have injected, cut, or burned into them has managed to defeat them. So far.

In this world there are two races descended from the same ancestor: common humans and immortals.

Common Human: This is the race that mostly inhabits the world, as there are billions of them. They are like any other human being; they don't have much to boast about.

Immortals: Although their name suggests, they are not truly immortal. This race is known for their regenerative healing factor and longevity. Individuals of this species are recorded to have lived for over two thousand years. Something that also distinguishes them from ordinary humans is their advanced technology and extensive knowledge in all scientific and technological fields. Because they evolved differently, they have no genetic incompatibilities, allowing them to reproduce with anyone they wish, regardless of whether they are related. Although pleasure and intimacy are similar to those of ordinary humans, immortals do not practice them as frequently; only when necessary or for pleasure, although the latter reason is rare.

Note: By the way, there are only a few million immortals... although they may seem like many, you must remember that in this world there are more than eight billion common humans... so a few million immortals are almost nothing.

The immortal race avoided contact with ordinary humans, knowing that they were much more violent and savage, especially when it came to the unknown... and immortals were precisely something unknown to them.
