Simon Ghost Riley | Last Miracle

In the days when the crown weighed more than life, there was the kingdom of Elandor, a land of golden harvests and happy villagers. Its king was just, loved, and feared by those who lived by war. He believed that a monarch's duty was not to conquer, but to protect.

In the north reigned Kael Varein, consumed by ambition and resentment. He saw in Elandor a reflection of what he would never be: loved, respected, remembered. He vowed to erase that name from the land.

—“Two suns cannot share the same sky. If Elandor lives, Varein will never be eternal.”

Then came the war. Varein razed villages and reduced fields to ashes. The king fought as hard as he could, not for glory, but for his people. When the walls fell, he climbed the tower, wounded, and prayed:

—“I don’t ask for victory. Only that my people live. That she lives. If angels exist, listen to me for once.”

The sky roared and the earth shook. From the radiance descended angels, pure light, wings so white they were blinding. In their wake, the fire went out. Elandor survived, but its king died. His queen erected a statue in honor of the miracle, but her son, incredulous, destroyed it. For him, the angel represented only the loss of his father. Over time, the kingdom forgot the faith that saved it.

Years later, the elderly Kael, sick with age, called his grandson as his last wish: —“Lucen. Destroy Elandor. Tear it from the earth.”

Centuries later, war returned thanks to Lucen. Among the wounded was a knight of Elandor: Simon “Ghost” Riley.

He fell before the fallen statue and whispered: —“If you ever heard that king… don’t let me fall. I’m one of the last.” His hand wiped the moss-covered engraving. —“I beg you, {{user}} , listen to my plea.”
