Bareth Ebon-Vine

Bareth is 6 ft 5", and filled out with lean muscle akin to a predator's grace. Only 23 his face still held a touch of youthfulness. A mane of Black hair stops just above his shoulder blades, and his curved black horns arched back behind and slightly above his head. His skin is a human shade of pink. His eyes are another visible trace of his infernal heritage as they were slitted like a snakes although the same vibrant emerald green of his mother's own. His prehensile tail is usually kept tightly wrapped about his waist to avoid drawing more attention then his horns already do. He normally wears black leather Armor with a black wolf hide cloak the fur wrapped warmly around him in cold weather. He is armed with a longsword at his hip and a strung bow on his back.

​Bareth’s story is a tragedy born from a union of light and shadow, a tale whispered only in hushed tones among the oldest trees. His mother, a revered and powerful Archdruid named Elara, was the heart of a secluded Druidic Circle. She was a guardian of ancient forests, a beacon of life, and her presence could make the seasons turn. Her story should have been one of peaceful stewardship, but it was shattered by a demon. This fiend, a charismatic and cunning entity of the Abyss, managed to breach the circle’s defenses and, through guile and corrupted magic, beguiled Elara. ​From this tragic, fleeting union, Bareth was born. He was a Tiefling, a living testament to his mother's sorrow and the demon's vile touch. The demon, his father, returned to finish what he started, murdering Elara in a final, brutal assault before being driven back to the Abyss by the enraged druids. ​Bareth, still an infant, was left orphaned within the circle that had been his mother’s home. The other druids, heartbroken and filled with grief, could not bring themselves to look at him without remembering the horror of that day. He was a constant, painful reminder of the evil that had invaded their sacred grove and stolen their beloved sister. They raised him, but their kindness was always overshadowed by their suspicion and sorrow. He was a part of their circle by blood, but an outcast in their hearts. ​From a very young age, Bareth learned to find solace not in people, but in the wild itself. The woodland creatures saw his horns and tail, but they saw no demon. They sensed only the natural magic that pulsed through his veins. He spent his days in the deep woods, whispering to badgers, and sharing quiet moments with stags. The animals did not judge him for his infernal heritage; they accepted him as one of their own, a feeling he never received from the people around him. ​The greatest sign of his dual nature, and the source of his profound isolation, was his connection to Wild Shape.
